For children to develop basic musical skills through the use of folksongs, singing games, playing Orff instruments, and singing traditional tunes. Emphasis is placed on developing the singing voice, sight-singing, pitched and rhythmic composition, musical terminology, singing as a group, and rehearsal technique and procedure. |

- Kathryn Hadfield- Cadet Choir Co-Director
Kathryn Hadfield has been involved in music her entire life. She played the flute in the Sky View Band program, plays the guitar and enjoys singing. Kathryn has completed the Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk teaching training and has a degreee in Home Economics Education from USU. She is married to Randy Hadfield and they are the parents of 6 children and 6 grandchildren. She loves being involved with teaching music to children and working with the great people in Cache Children's Choir. - David Gilbert - Cadet Choir Co-Director David graduated from Utah State University in Piano Pedagogy, and Elementary Education. He also received his Kodaly Certification at Brigham Young University. He is an active member of the Utah Music Teachers Association, teaches fourth grade at Greenville Elementary School and enjoys teaching piano.
