Cantate Choir

CANTATE CHOIR   Ages 11- 16 (audition only)

Advanced level treble choir. Auditions are held August - September

The Cantate Choir is CCC's 'performance choir'. They sing a challenging repertoire including classical, folk, and contemporary compositions encompassing three to four part harmonies and many different languages.We emphasize free and natural singing while developing healthy vocal habits. Using Solfege, the singers strengthen their sight singing, ear training, pitch matching, and independent singing.

Mondays 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 p.m.

Yearly tuition: $260.  Tuition includes workbook and uniform rental.

Chorale Choir  (Ages 10-12) (Grades 4-8)

Non-auditioned intermediate level choir

Students receive training in vocal technique through the study of folk songs, classical, and contemporary music. They also learn sight-singing ,simple part singing, and receive training in improvisation through the Orff-Schulwerk method. Chorale Choir accepts about 6 performance opportunities per year.

Tuesdays 4:30-6:00 p.m.

Caprice Choir Grades (ages 5 in Kindergarten through age 7)

Non-auditioned beginning choir.

Caprice choir teaches beginning music skills including beat competence, in-tune singing, and rhythmic notation. This class enjoys many singing games and folk songs.

Mondays 4:30-5:15 p.m. or 5:15-6:00 p.m.

Yearly tuition: $150.

Cadet Choir  (Ages  8-10)   (Grades 2 & 3)

Non-auditioned advanced beginning level choir.

A high level beginner choir that focuses on developing the singing voice, sight singing, composition, singing as a group, and rehearsal technique and procedures. Instructors use folk songs, singing games, and traditional pieces. Some performance opportunities.

Tuesdays 5:10-6:00 p.m.

Cadenza Choir -  (Preschool Ages 3-5 years)

Non-auditioned music introduction class.

Cadenza choir helps preschoolers find their singing voice and employs movement skills, turn-taking, and direction following. This class enjoys many singing games and folk songs.
Two annual performances.

Fridays 9:30-10:15am. 10:39-11:15am.  '"Mommy and Me" time is the last ten minutes of class.
Ellen Eccles Theatre Bullen Center dance room (upstairs).

Yearly tuition: $150.
