We received this invitation from the UFOC. I'm ready to begin scheduling the children for the Sound of Music auditions. We intend to hear the children sing on the afternoon of the 23rd (3 to 5 pm) and will do call-backs the following afternoon if we wish to hear the children read from the script. Each of the children should come prepared to sing either "Do, Re, Mi" or "So Long, Farewell." I've attched the sheet music for both songs to this email. An accompanist will be provided. We ask that the parents bring with them a headshot (or school photo) of their child as well as a resume of past stage work, concerts, school plays, etc. The resume should also list the child's height, weight, and phone number/email for the parent. Please have them contact me asap if they'd like to schedule a time. Thanks, Cassandra Coulam Artistic and Company Administrator Utah Festival Opera 435.750.0300 x 111 |

Cache Children’s Choir offers sequential music instruction where children experience the joy of singing in four choirs and a preschool class. Although students can join at any level, each choir builds on skills taught in previous choirs. Cache Children’s Choir is supported in part by the Marie Eccles Caine Foundation, Utah State Office of Education, the Utah Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, Washington, DC, the Dell Loy Hansen Charitable Trust, Cache County RAPZ grant, Logan City, and the Department of Music at Utah State University, Chairman Dr. Craig Jessop. |
