Goals
We have fun while learning important musical skills. Through folk songs
and singing games we teach high and low pitches, fast and slow, loud
and soft, steady beat, pitch matching, following a conductor, rhythm
and rhythmic notation.
Staff
Marianne Sidwell-Caprice Choir Co-Director
Marianne is accomplished on flute, guitar and dulcimer and she enjoys
performing and composing. She has a B.A. from Utah State University and
has done some graduate work in Kodaly Music Education. She is also a music
specialist for Utah Festival Opera’s Education Program.
Genet Brown-Caprice Choir Co-Director
Genet has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in Music
from Utah State University. She has completed all three levels of the Kodaly
Course for Children’s Music Education. She enjoys playing the double bass,
clarinet, piano, tin whistle, dulcimer and banjo.
