Goals
For children to develop basic musical skills through the use of folksongs,
singing games, and traditional tunes. Emphasis is placed on developing
the singing voice, sight-singing, pitched and rhythmic composition, musical
terminology, singing as a group, and rehearsal technique and procedure. Cadet choir also has the privilege of working with Leslie Timmons. Ms. Timmons is on the staff of the USU Music Dept. and is an Orff-Schulwerk specialist.
Staff
Kathryn Hadfield- Cadet Choir Director
Kathryn Hadfield has been involved in music her entire life. She
played the flute in the Sky View Band program, plays
the guitar and enjoys singing.
Kathryn has completed the Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk teaching training and has
a degreee in Home Economics Education from USU. She is married to Randy
Hadfield
and
they are
the parents of 6 children and 6 grandchildren. She
loves being involved with teaching music to children
and working with the great people in Cache Children's
Choir.
